Location for making restitution payments changes

The Las Vegas Justice Court will not accept restitution on behalf of the Clark County district attorney’s office for criminal cases starting Friday, the county reported.

Instead, restitution payments for bad check cases can be made at the district attorney’s Bad-Check Unit in the Regional Justice Center at 200 Lewis Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89155. The department can be reached by phone at 702-671-4701.

Payments for other cases can be made at the district attorney’s Victim-Witness Assistance Center, on the 3rd floor of the Regional Justice Center on 200 Lewis Ave. The department’s phone number is 702-671-2525.

Payments must be made payable to the victim and in the form of a cashier’s check, money order or attorney trust account.

For cases involving the Nevada attorney general’s office, the payment location will remain the same, at 555 E. Washington Ave., #3900, Las Vegas, NV 89101. The attorney general’s office can be reached at 702-486-3420.
