Atlanta resident stabs, kills suspected home intruder

ATLANTA — Atlanta police say a resident of a home on the city’s southwest side stabbed and killed a suspected intruder.

Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that officers responded to a home invasion call on Saville Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Chafee said a resident at the home struggled with an intruder and eventually stabbed him. The suspected home intruder died at the scene. The residents sustained minor injuries.

No charges were filed against the resident.
