19-year-old who died while riding scooter identified

A man who was killed while riding a scooter on the northwest side of Las Vegas just before noon on Saturday has been identified.

Keilan Jordan Coakley, 19, was riding a 2013 scooter and turned onto Cheyenne Avenue at the intersection of Fort Apache Road when he hit the median and was struck by a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Coakley, a Caucasian male, died from blunt force injuries, according to the Clark County Office of the Coroner.
