Motorcyclist killed in Western Avenue crash

A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a car on Western Avenue near Sahara Avenue.

The crash happened in the 2400 block of Western about 2:10 p.m. today, according to Las Vegas police.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said. The driver of the vehicle was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

There is no word on who was at fault in the crash. The identity of the motorcyclist was not available.

Western Avenue near Sahara is closed in both directions while police investigate.
