Police report fatal crash at Alta and Hualapai

One person died after two vehicles crashed near the intersection of Alta Drive and Hualapai Way, Las Vegas police said.

Police responded to the accident about 4:30 p.m. One of the drivers was transported to University Medical Center with a head injury. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other driver was transported to UMC in serious condition.

The intersection is expected to be closed until about 9 p.m. while police investigate.
