Road rage incident leads to shooting

A man was shot in the hand after an apparent road rage incident in the west Las Vegas Valley Tuesday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

The shooting happened about 3:45 p.m. near Flamingo Road and Arville Street.

One person pepper-sprayed another, and was then shot in the hand by a small-caliber pistol by the other person, police said.

Officers found the pistol in front of the Palms and located the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby apartment complex, but police said the suspect has not been found.

The man who suffered a gunshot to his left hand took himself to Spring Valley Hospital, which prompted a short lockdown of the medical center, hospital officals said.
