Las Vegas couple who died in murder-suicide identified

Two Las Vegas people found dead after police were called to a domestic disturbance by a young girl Wednesday night were identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Daniella Gastelum-Gutierrez, 31, died from a gunshot wound. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Jacob Burkett, 32, died of a gunshot wound to the head. His death was ruled a suicide, according to the coroner’s office.

Las Vegas police were called about 7 p.m. to a home in the 6900 block of Encore Way, near Sunset and Paradise roads, by a girl who said there was trouble with her parents, according to police.

When police arrived at the house, no one answered the door. SWAT officers were called to the house.

When police officers entered the home about 9 p.m., they found Burkett and Gastelum-Gutierrez already dead. The girl was physically unharmed.
