Multiple weather warnings issued for Las Vegas Valley

Thunderstorms swept across the Las Vegas Valley on Sunday, prompting multiple hazardous weather warnings from the National Weather Service.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for North Las Vegas and the northwest part of the valley. Wind gusts are expected to hit 60 miles per hour and hail is a possibility.

Additionally, a flash flood warning was issued for the south and east portions of the valley at around 4 p.m. Earlier in the day, a similar warning was issued for the Spring Mountains and the Carpenter 1 burn areas on Mount Charleston.
