Water Cooler: Pop culture fun, July 21

Here are a few tidbits in pop culture that caught our eye last week.

■ The National Transportation Safety Board blames a summer intern for a mix-up that led to a San Francisco TV station running racist, obviously prankish names of the purported pilots of an ill-fated Asiana Airlines flight. Didn’t know Bart Simpson was old enough to have a summer internship.

■ Nevada’s 150th anniversary ingot — 1,000 ounces of silver — goes on display in Carson City in celebration of the state’s upcoming sesquicentennial. Las Vegas will join the celebration with its display of a 150-shrimp shrimp cocktail on Fremont Street.

■ Justin Bieber ■ apologizes to Bill Clinton for cursing at a photo of the former president at a New York restaurant where Bieber also urinated into a janitor’s mop bucket. The janitor who had to empty the bucket is the one who really deserves the apology. Stay classy, kid.
