Motorcyclist in critical condition after northeast valley accident

A 41-year-old man was in critical condition after losing control of his motorcycle Wednesday afternoon.

Librado Pulido-Sanchez was driving at an excessive rate of speed on eastbound Bingham Avenue, near Lamb Boulevard and Bonanza Road when he lost control of his 1990 Yamaha FZR1000 while trying to slow down, Las Vegas police said. He was thrown onto the pavement and collided with a raised curb.

Pulido-Sanchez was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

He was transported to University Medical Center.
