Fire damages auto repair shop early Sunday morning

An auto repair shop suffered $250,000 in damages in a fire early Sunday morning, according to Las Vegas Fire Department officials.

Firefighters responded just before 12:30 a.m. to reports of smoke at 2424 N. Jones Blvd.

The fire was out in a few minutes, fire officials said. Firefighters had to cut holes in garage doors to gain entrance to the building.

Two vehicles parked inside were destroyed, and there was heat and smoke damage throughout the building. Parts of the roof had heavy fire damage as well.

Fire investigators said they believe the fire started inside near computer and electrical equipment. The cause of the fire is undetermined due to extensive damage in the area where the fire started.

There were no injuries.
