Obama catches Reid trying to sneak a pen

WASHINGTON - Sen. Harry Reid had a "whoops" moment after the presidential inauguration on Monday.

Inside the U.S. Capitol following the swearing-in, the Senate majority leader from Nevada and other congressional leaders were witnesses as Obama signed the first documents of his second term, using multiple pens, as is custom.

As Obama completed the task and was getting up from the table, the group started to disband. A press pool video from the event showed Reid reaching for one of the pens as a souvenir.

"No, no, no, no," Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. said. "Harry? Harry?"

"Is Harry stealing the pens?" Obama chuckled. "I can get you one, man."

Obama reached into his inside breast pocket, pulled out a pen and handed it to Reid.

"That's yours," Obama said.

It could not be clearly heard from the pool video what Reid said in response.
