Worker who died on I-15 identified
A highway maintenance worker who died Wednesday after being struck by falling equipment was identified today by the county coroner's office.
Michael Angelo Garcia, 26, was moving equipment from a truck when the equipment shifted and fell on him. He died on the scene.
The Nevada Department of Transportation said Garcia was a subcontractor for NDOT.
The incident happened on Interstate 15 near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The cause of death was not yet released.
