Police have ‘good leads’ in stabbing death of man

A man found in the desert stabbed to death earlier this month was identified on Thursday as Scott Gerald Harrison, 36. He died from stab wounds to his chest, according to the Clark County coroner's office.

Las Vegas police said Harrison was found in the desert between Las Vegas and Indian Springs, which is about 45 miles northwest of Las Vegas.

Homicide Lt. Ray Steiber said Thursday that police have "good leads" in the case, but he wouldn't provide more details.

A spokeswoman at the coroner's office did not know Harrison's city of residence but said his family had been notified.
