■ BONANZA - Boys track athletes Deandre Garcia, Cameron Wong, Tyreese Martin and Jayveon Taylor set a meet record in the 800-meter relay at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships with a time of 1 minute, 31.12 seconds. Girls track athlete Sianna Nelson won the 300 hurdles and triple jump at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships.

■ CENTENNIAL - Girls swimmer Erin Malan won the 50-yard freestyle in 28.84 seconds and the 200 free in 2:24.14 against Faith Lutheran. Boys swimmer Thomas Farrell won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.91 and the 100 backstroke in 1:05.08 against Faith Lutheran.

■ CIMARRON-MEMORIAL - Girls swimmer Jadyn Pendleton won the 100-yard breaststroke and 100 butterfly in a victory over Cheyenne. Baseball player Josh Nuernberg went 6-for-10 with a home run, two triples and seven RBIs in three games.

■ CLARK - Boys volleyball player Walt Benda had six service aces in matches against Spring Valley and Western.

■ CORONADO - Girls track athlete Sara Dort won the 800- and 1,600-meter runs and anchored the winning 3,200-meter relay team to help the Cougars to the team title at the Sunrise Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships. Boys volleyball player Matt Pettit had 17 kills and only five hitting errors in 36 attempts for the week.

■ DESERT OASIS - Girls track athlete Cassidy Motis won the pole vault with a mark of 9 feet, 3 inches at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships. Baseball player Kyle Motis was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, including the game-winning, two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning in a 7-6 win over Western.

■ DURANGO - Boys volleyball player Caleb Snook had a total of 40 assists, 13 digs and five blocks in two matches.

■ GREEN VALLEY - Boys swimmer Austin Lee won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 52.85 seconds, and the 100 butterfly in 57.24 in a 171-134 victory over Foothill. Softball player Chelsea Perez was 2-for-3 with three RBIs in a 13-3 win over Liberty.

■ THE MEADOWS - Girls track athlete Bailey Gosse finished third in the 3,200 meters at the Sunset Region Freshman-Sophomore Championships.

■ PALO VERDE - Baseball player Grayson Weber was 5-for-9 with a double, triple, four runs and three stolen bases in four games. Softball player Rachael Turner hit for the cycle in a win over Durango.

■ SHADOW RIDGE - Baseball player Mike Wager was 7-for-10 with two doubles, a triple and five RBIs in three games.

■ SILVERADO - Boys swimmer Jacob Jezek won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 backstroke and was part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team in a win over Basic. Girls track athlete Jasmine Garcia set a school record in the long jump with a mark of 17 feet, 8¾ inches.
