Ritchie Bros. will host groups at opening of auction site

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers will host members of the Nevada Contractors Association and Las Vegas chapter of Associated General Contractors at Friday's opening of the company's new auction facilities near Lamb Boulevard and Interstate 15.

The 100-acre site includes a new 33,000-square-foot auction building with registration area and 500-seat main auction theater.

More than 1,100 heavy equipment items and trucks are featured in the opening auction. All items will be sold unreserved to the highest bidders on auction day.

"Ritchie Bros. has made a major investment in our community which is of great benefit to the industry here in Southern Nevada," said Sean Stewart, executive vice president of NCA-AGC, which represents more than 700 local general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
