SUNCOAST TO HOST GOURMET FOOD TRUCKS

The Suncoast, 9090 Alta Drive, plans to host a gourmet food truck block party from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Marquee parking lot.

The event is expected to draw more than 25 food trucks from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange County, including Snow Ono, Sin City Wings, Sausagefest, Chi-town Hustler, Slap Yo Mama, Chef Ludovic Lefebvre's LudoTruck and trucks featured on Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race."

Admission is $5, with proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Nevada.

VEGAS STREATS FESTIVAL SET FOR SATURDAY

The El Cortez, 600 E. Fremont St., plans to host the monthly Vegas StrEATs food truck, arts and music festival from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday on the Jackie Gaughan Parkway.
Drink specials are planned, including $3 Bud Light, Shock Top and Bud Light Lime, $4 Jameson Irish whiskey, Jagermeister and 1800 Silver tequila shots and $2 Pepsi products.

EVENT TO BRING RESTAURANTS TO MUSEUM

The Las Vegas Natural History Museum, 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North, plans to host Sundown in Downtown, a grown-up carnival event, from 6 to 10 p.m. June 22.

The event is set to feature small bites from downtown Las Vegas restaurants such as Bar+Bistro @ The Arts Factory, the Barrymore, Casa Don Juan, Triple George Grill and Hash House A Go Go. Signature cocktails also are planned, along with live musical performances by Kid Meets Cougar and Wild Card, strolling performance artists, and the museum's new traveling exhibit.

The event is open to guests 21 or older. All food, drinks and entertainment are included with admission, which is $55 per person and $100 per couple, with group rates available. All proceeds will benefit the museum's educational programs for underserved youths.

GET FREE SMOOTHIES JUNE 15

Tropical Smoothie Café is collecting donations for Camp Sunshine through June 15, which is National Flip Flop Day.

In honor of National Flip Flop Day, participating locations plan to offer customers who visit between 2 and 7 p.m. June 15 wearing flip flop sandals a free 24-ounce Jetty Punch smoothie. National Flip Flop Day doubles as a fundraiser for Camp Sunshine, a summer camp geared toward children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Patrons can purchase $1 paper flip flops, which will be posted throughout the store. Those who purchase a Sunrise Sunset smoothie will have a portion of the proceeds donated to Camp Sunshine.

YARD HOUSE ROUNDS UP CHECKS FOR HELP

GOLD SPIKE PLANS CRUISIN 4 HOPE POKER RUN AND BREWFEST

The Gold Spike, 217 Las Vegas Blvd. North, plans to host the Cruisin 4 Hope Poker Run and Brewfest June 16 to benefit Hopelink of Southern Nevada.

The Gold Spike will serve as the end point for the five-stop poker run and the site of the Brewfest, which will feature 15 beers to sample. Tickets to both events are available in advance at cruisin4hope.com for $40. Tickets for only the poker run are $30. Tickets for only the Brewfest are $25 in advance and for locals and Gold Spike guests at the door and $30 for out-of-towners at the door.

Registration and check-in for the poker run is set from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Kiss Monster Mini Golf Course at Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue. The poker run is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the Brewfest from 4 to 10 p.m. The Brewfest is set to also include food trucks and Southern rock music by DJ Lee from 4 to 7 p.m. and Cletus and the Mexican Sweat from 7 to 10 p.m.

VIA BRASIL STEAKHOUSE TO SERVE FATHER'S DAY BRUNCH

Via Brasil Steakhouse, 1225 S. Fort Apache Road, plans to feature more than 50 breakfast and lunch items from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 17 for its Father's Day brunch.

The all-you-can-eat, rodizio-style lunch includes six cuts of meat served tableside, made-to-order omelets and fresh homemade breads, followed by a dessert of your choice for $27.99.

For dinner, a full rodizio meal will be offered from 2 to 9 p.m. for $44.99, including up to 18 meats served tableside, a full gourmet salad bar and side dishes.
