Special to View

Seniors from local CareMore Care Centers delivered handmade gifts to several organizations this winter. Cold-weather knitting and crocheting contributions were made to patients at the Nevada Cancer Center, the Comprehensive Cancer Center and the pediatric unit at MountainView Hospital. Blankets, hats and scarves for patients of all ages were among the projects. Much of the yarn was donated, and more yarn donations would be welcome. In addition to service project work, CareMore Care Centers offer classes to seniors to enhance their creative skills and encourage physical activity. The classes are free to seniors, and a CareMore membership is not required to attend. For more information, visit the center at 2601 N. Tenaya Way or 3085 E. Flamingo Road or visit caremore.com.
