EVENTS
The 10th annual Vegas Valley Book Festival will feature panel discussions, readings, book signings, workshops, exhibitions and other activities, Thursday through Nov. 6 at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St., and various locations. The keynote speakers are Max Brooks, 7 p.m. Thursday at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road, and Jane Smiley, 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Historic Fifth Street School. Other events include the Comic Book Festival; the Children's Book Festival; the Main Book Festival; and the Feasting on Words Literature and Food Fair.
