Body of missing Pahrump woman found in desert
Police said they believe they've found the body of a 70-year-old woman reported missing in Pahrump last week.
The body was located Saturday morning in the desert east of state Route 160, near where Ruth Pang was last seen Oct. 23, the Nye County Sheriff's Office said.
The woman was found wearing the same clothing as Pang when she was reported missing, and Pang's purse containing her identification was also at the scene, police said.
Pang's daughter reported her missing Oct. 25.
She had been last seen at Terrible Herbst Country Store, located off the highway near East Calvada Boulevard.
Detectives are following up on several leads in the ongoing investigation, and police said more information will be released at a later time.
