Reid to speak at Hispanic summit in Las Vegas

The White House and U.S. Sen. Harry Reid's office are holding a Hispanic community summit in Las Vegas on Saturday to discuss issues from jobs and the economy to housing and education.

The event will include a videotaped address by Reid. It will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the East Las Vegas Community Senior Center, 250 North Eastern Ave.

Similar Latino summits have been organized earlier this year by the Obama administration in Orlando, Fla., and Washington, D.C., to let Hispanics talk directly to Cabinet agency members.

People interested in participating must register in advance online at http://bit.ly/LASsmt.
