R-Jeneration: R-Voice: What school program would you cut?

SEAN ELEZRA

INTERVIEWED STUDENTS AT GREEN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

Farah Rahman, sophomore

"From all of the classes that are offered here, I would cut student aide classes because students are wasting the class period trying to get an easy A. It does not help the kid in any way."

Tani Thomas, sophomore

"I would cut out the cooking courses, because you can take that anywhere, such as local recreation centers. It is kind of not as necessary at school."

Cassidy McLean, junior

"I would cut none of the programs, because we need a variety of school programs. Everybody needs a place for them, and if you take some programs away, it is not fair for certain individuals."

Tylar Glenn, senior

"I would probably cut some of the art programs because they are not really that educational and you can still have outlets with art that are not school related. I know that ceramics takes up a lot of money from the school."

Darius Bravo, junior

"We should stick to the basic math classes and cut some of the other math courses. It seems that there are a lot of levels of math classes at our school, and I think that we should focus on the standard math classes such as Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry and Calculus."

Cody Lee, freshman

"I would probably cut the foreign language classes because we don't need them to graduate from high school. And if colleges do need them, then we can learn them by ourselves. They are a waste of money."
