Two arrested in fatal shooting at bus stop
An 18-year-old and a juvenile were arrested Friday in connection with the May 15 shooting of two people at a bus stop.
Christian Shannon and the unnamed juvenile were arrested on multiple charges including murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
They are suspected of shooting Randii Lennette Morrow, 16, and her boyfriend while the couple were waiting at a bus stop at 2730 E. Bonanza Road, east of Eastern Avenue, about 10:15 p.m.
Police said the suspects wordlessly walked up to the couple and opened fire. Morrow fled into an alley but collapsed from gunshot wounds to her neck and face. She later died at University Medical Center.
The boyfriend was not hurt, police said.
Investigators said after the shooting that they thought it was gang-related and that Morrow was the target.
