Las Vegas City Clerk’s office open this weekend for voter registration

The Las Vegas City Clerk's office will be open this weekend to give people more time to register to vote in this year's city elections.

The registration deadline is Tuesday.

Registrations will be accepted 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday, and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. The clerk's office is on the first floor of City Hall, 400 Stewart Ave., in downtown Las Vegas.

Early voting takes place March 19 to April 1, with the primary election on April 5.

Races without a majority winner will advance the top two candidates to the June 7 general election. All city of Las Vegas voters can vote for mayor and municipal judge candidates in departments 2, 3, and 5. Voters living in Wards 1, 3 and 5 can also vote in their respective City Council races.

For more information, call the City Clerk's Office at 229-6311.
