HIKES

Red Rock Canyon: On Monday, a hike to Keystone Thrust fault. On Tuesday, a moderately strenuous, 5-mile hike with some scrambling at Krafft Mountain Loop. On Wednesday, a moderate, 3- to 4-mile full moon hike at La Madre Spring. Bring a flashlight. On Saturday, a moderate 3- to 4-mile hike at Arnight Trail. On Jan. 23, a moderate to strenuous 4-mile to North Peak. High-clearance and 4-by-4 vehicles required (515-5367).

Around The Bend Friends: This group of people over 50, interested in hiking and related social activities, plans a three-to four-hour moderate hike each Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. To learn more about the group and the meeting place for the hike, contact 228-0773, or the club's website: www.aroundthebendfriends.com.
