Man charged in slaying at Opera House casino

A 22-year-old Henderson man was indicted by a Clark County grand jury on five felony counts related to the slaying of a man during a robbery at the Opera House Saloon & Casino in North Las Vegas.

Stefon J. Clark was charged with murder with use of a deadly weapon, armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, burglary and possession of a firearm by a felon in the Oct. 22 slaying.

Authorities allege Clark, while robbing three casino patrons in the bathroom, shot Mario DeJesus-DeJesus, 33, multiple times.

Clark was on probation at the time of the robbery, said Chief Deputy District Attorney Roy Nelson.

District Court records show Clark pleaded guilty in April to one count of coercion, a felony.
