Unemployment moved in the wrong direction

First the Obama Administration promised us that by passing the so-called "stimulus" spending bill, unemployment would stay under 8 percent. That didn't happen.

Then last June, the Obama Administration promised us that we were entering the "Summer of Recovery". That didn't happen.

Now the latest unemployment number has moved up to 9.8 percent. That's the highest since April as nonfarm payrolls grew just 39,000 — far below views of 130,000. Private jobs rose 50,000, the least since January.

Heretofore every time an unemployment number came out, the Obama crowd told us that we're "moving in the right direction."

Well, like so many promises from the Obama Administration, that didn't happen, either.
