Suspect in robbery at Treasure Island is sought by police

Las Vegas police on Thursday released a photo of a man who held up a casino cage at Treasure Island on Monday night.

The man made off with a small amount of money, which was later recovered, but Las Vegas police haven't located him. Police said he entered the casino and loitered around the cage for 20 minutes before demanding money from an employee about 10 p.m.

He is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 35, weighing between 170 and 190 pounds. Police believe he's between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall and clean-shaven.

Anybody with information on the crime or the suspect's whereabouts is encouraged to call the department's robbery section at 828-3591 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 385-5555.
