Shea Homes at Ardiente in North Las Vegas, an age-qualified community and home to many retired armed forces personnel, has announced a military service discount for all branches of service that could be as much as $10,000 in savings on options.
Shea Homes recognizes the sacrifices that military personnel have made to preserve freedom of all Americans.
Homebuyers who show proof of military service can receive a 10 percent discount off options and upgrades when they purchase a new home at Ardiente. Shea Homes has also extended the promotion to include parents of children serving actively in any branch of the U.S. military.
The military service discount may be combined with the builder's $10,000 Buyers' Choice Sale for a total of as much as $20,000 savings on a limited number of move-in ready homes at Ardiente today through Aug. 15. The choices include $10,000 off purchase price only, or $5,000 off purchase price and $5,000 towards closing costs or six months no payments or interest. Shea Homes Trilogy is offering a 4 percent commission to Realtors and brokers for the Buyer's Choice Sale promotion.
Prices at Ardiente start in the mid-$100,000s.

Construction continues on the new $650 million Southern Nevada Veteran's Administration Medical Center in North Las Vegas, 1½ miles from Ardiente. This state-of-the-art medical complex, located at 6900 N. Pecos Blvd. and Interstate-215, the Las Vegas Beltway, will include a hospital, outpatient clinic and long-term care facility. It is planned to serve thousands of local veterans including those troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
In addition, Nellis Air Force Base is three miles from Ardiente and offers a 66,000-square-foot commissary offering a selection of more than 19,000 line items.
According to retired Air Force Lt. Col. Wayne Haskins, he is glad he and his wife, Sue, made the move to Ardiente in early 2009.
