Police investigate bomb threat at Regional Justice Center

Las Vegas police investigated a bomb threat at Regional Justice Center Wednesday morning, authorities confirmed.

Officer Marcus Martin, a police spokesman, said a man called the courthouse about 7:16 a.m. and said a bomb had been smuggled into the building in the previous 10 days.

The man told courthouse officials he did not know where the bomb was and said, "I just don't want to get into trouble," before hanging up, Martin said. Courthouse officials then called police.

The call was made from a pay phone in central Las Vegas, Martin said. The man had a slight accent, possibly "Asian or Arabic, he said.

People were allowed inside the building about 9 a.m.

ARMOR is investigating the incident, Martin said.
