Southern Nevada fire restrictions to be lifted Friday

LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

Seasonal fire restrictions on public lands in Southern Nevada were to be listed today, officials said Thursday.

The changes cover all land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service, Nevada Division of Forestry, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Forest Service.

Restrictions will continue in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area until Nov. 15. Prohibitions include campfires within a mile of homes in Kyle and Lee canyons, Deer Creek, Cold Creek and the communities of Trout Canyon and Mountain Springs. Signs in those areas detail the restrictions.
