Quarterback Clayton hopes to end losing streak against UNR

UNLV senior quarterback Omar Clayton never left the sideline in the 63-28 loss last football season at UNR, an injured throwing shoulder forcing him to become a spectator.

But that's not what drives him as he prepares for Saturday's 7 p.m. game against the No. 25 Wolf Pack at Sam Boyd Stadium.

"Never winning once (against UNR) since I've been here makes me more hungry to win one," Clayton said. "People get hurt, and unfortunately I was hurt at the wrong time."

While Clayton tries to end the Rebels' five-game skid to UNR, he wants to keep another streak alive. He has thrown 81 passes this season without an interception. His career interception percentage is 2.8, currently the best in school history.
