Coroner identifies shooting victim as 31-year-old North Las Vegas man

A North Las Vegas man shot and killed last week was identified Friday as Jonathan Irving Graves Jr., 31.

He died July 16 from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Clark County coroner's office.

North Las Vegas police said they were investigating a report of shots fired about 10 p.m. in the 2100 block of Lawry Avenue, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Comstock Drive, when they found the man's body in the street.

Details of the slaying were not given. There had been no reported arrests as of Friday.

Police found various items of evidence on three nearby streets, causing them to shut down the entire neighborhood to process the extensive crime scene.

The slaying was the 10th homicide this year handled by the North Las Vegas police department.
