Man guilty of letting daughter watch porn

A Gardnerville man has admitted that he didn't stop his 8-year-old daughter from viewing pornographic movies he was watching on his computer.

Derik Henry Haase, 33, on Wednesday was given a 90-day suspended jail sentence and placed on a year's probation after pleading guilty to a charge of contributory neglect in East Fork Justice Court.

According to his attorney, Haase was watching movies in his room and his daughter was watching behind him.

Haase's ex-wife, who shares custody of the child, contacted authorities when the girl began exhibiting inappropriate behavior .
