Jackson doctor makes deal in family court case

Attorneys for the doctor charged in Michael Jackson's death say they have reached a deal with Nevada prosecutors on a child support claim, and that Dr. Conrad Murray's state medical license won't be revoked.

Murray's license would have been at stake during a Family Court hearing today in Las Vegas. Instead, he won't have to appear.

Nevada law calls for suspensions of professional licenses for nonpayment of child support.

Murray's lawyer in Las Vegas, Robert Blau, said he made a payment Thursday in the back child support case for the mother of Murray's 12-year-old son in California.

Murray argues he needs to be able to work to pay her and his legal fees.

Murray was charged in February in Los Angeles with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death.
