Two downtown Reno casinos robbed

RENO -- Two downtown Reno casinos were robbed hours apart.

Authorities say Circus Circus Reno was robbed late Friday and the Silver Legacy early Saturday morning.

Circus casino spokeswoman Jennifer Cunningham said a man said he had a gun and ordered a clerk to hand over hundred dollar bills.

Silver Legacy general manager Gary Carano said his business was robbed a few hours later by a man who approached the money cage and demanded money before fleeing.

Reno Police Sgt. Rick Ayala said it is not confirmed that the heists are connected.
