Where in the world is Harry Reid?
In the "All Is Fair" file folder, Republicans are more than happy today to tell you that Harry can be found today not in Las Vegas, or Reno but in ... drum roll please ... San Francisco.
You can find his schedule this week at the Party Time Web site, which is one finely sliced information portal. In fact, I'm willing to say right here and right now that if you've been to this Web site more than once this week and you're not either a professional political writer or a campaign staffer, you have a political addiction for which you should seek help.
And Republicans said: “Rather than tending to the 76,000 Nevadans who lost their job last year, Senator Reid has opted to spend two days in San Francisco – which unlike Searchlight or Vegas probably feels more like home to him – so he can raise more money for his floundering re-election campaign. With an unemployment rate consistently hovering around 13 percent, what the people of Nevada need is a full-time Senator who is focused on creating jobs for them."
To which The Complete Las Vegan said: For all the gripes that can be listed about Harry Reid, this seriously can't be in the top 100. But it does effectively reinforce one of the major themes the GOP would like to bring to the forefront this election season: Harry Reid is a resident alien of Nevada who gets more support out of the state than he does in the state.
That's why this item goes in the "All Is Fair" folder. And you can bet that Democrats will use the same theme against Sen. John McCain in Arizona.
