Man dies, another hurt in North Las Vegas shooting

One person was killed and another was injured during an early morning shooting today in a North Las Vegas neighborhood.

North Las Vegas police said they were called to Blue Reef Drive, near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue, at 3:42 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a wounded 24-year-old man in the front yard of a home on the street. He was unresponsive.

Officers discovered a second person also had been shot. The man, whose name was not released, was hospitalized with a nonlife threatening injury.

Police did not release any suspect information. Anybody with information on the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 385-5555.
