Jilted ex-porn star talks about Tiger

Cleaning out the media notebook while wondering if it's too late to open a coffee shop in Searchlight:

■ Joslyn James, the jilted ex-porn star who has been releasing nasty Tiger Woods text messages, told ESPN affiliate KWWN 1100 on Friday that she put her porn career on hold for the golf star. "He wanted me to quit porn ... and I stopped." James said she met him at a Las Vegas nightclub and had sex with him that night. She wouldn't identify the club where they met. But she confirmed she would be releasing more racy sexting messages ...

■ The Review-Journal's Best of Las Vegas edition comes out Sunday, but Alicia Jacobs, entertainment reporter at KVBC-TV, Channel 3, will announce some of the winners tonight at the 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. telecasts. The full results appear in the R-J on Sunday.

KLAS-TV investigative reporter George Knapp will be among 11 Hall of Fame inductees honored June 12 with Mark Twain Awards at the Associated Press Television Radio Association board of directors convention. Winner of a Peabody Award and 17 Emmys, Knapp will be joining a class of inductees that includes Rush Limbaugh, Southern California broadcast legend Paul Moyer and Tad Dunbar, a Reno TV institution ...

Gerard Ramalho, reporter and weekend anchor at KVBC-TV, Channel 3, and his fiancée, Elizabeth Watts, who just joined KVVU-TV, Channel 5, found themselves in a sort of awkward situation recently. Both were covering Mayor Oscar Goodman's city budget press conference. It was the first time they were on competing stories. Before that, he said, "we didn't talk about story ideas. Now I have to be worried about her scooping me." They're getting married April 16. They met when she was a newsroom assistant at KVBC. ...

Local public relations veteran Tanya Tumminia has joined Wynn/Encore as a marketing manager after three years at Wagner/Junker Agency.

John Ensign and Democratic Congresswoman Dina Titus, who were on opposite ends of health care reform, were spotted on a Washington, D.C.-Las Vegas flight sitting next to each other for five hours. Hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, playing games at ESPN Zone on Friday with his kids. ... Former heavyweight boxing champ Lennox Lewis and unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr., hanging out together Thursday at Vanity nightclub (Hard Rock Hotel) and Mr. Lucky's restaurant. ... Sports broadcaster Al Michaels, at a social gathering at Circo del Osteria (Bellagio). Also at the restaurant: longtime Los Angeles Times golf writer Thomas Bonk, with his wife Robin Carr, a top San Francisco PR executive who got her start in the San Francisco Giants PR office. ... Former "American Idol" finalist Mikalah Gordon at the Flamingo pool on Friday. ... Comedian Harland Williams, who is appearing at the Playboy Comedy Club at the Palms this weekend, showed up at the Starbucks by UNLV about 7 a.m. The star-struck young woman who took his order told him he was the first "famous person" she had ever met.
