Cole, Worley to perform this month at Harrah’s Laughlin

Harrah's Laughlin launches its spring Rio Vista Outdoor Concert Series on March 20 with a performance by multiple Grammy Award-winning songstress Natalie Cole.

Backed by the talents of a 14-piece orchestra, Cole sings some of her greatest hits, such as "This Will Be," "Inseparable" and "Miss You Like Crazy." In 2009, Cole was named Outstanding Jazz Artist by the NAACP Image Awards for her album "Still Unforgettable." The album also earned two Grammy Awards, one for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and one for Best Instrumental Accompanying Vocalist.

The performance begins at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $35 plus tax and fees.

Following Cole at the Rio Vista is the Country Rat Pack, featuring country music fan-favorites Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence and Richie McDonald, on April 10; classic pop/rock band Three Dog Night performing April 23; and the legendary R&B band Earth, Wind & Fire performing May 15.

Contemporary country music singer-songwriter Darryl Worley takes the stage in the Fiesta Showroom on March 26.

Worley recently released his sixth album and hit single "Sounds Like Life to Me." For the past 10 years, he has been a mainstay of modern country music.

His music has told the story of life, love and world situations and can be heard in such hits as "Have You Forgotten," "If Something Should Happen" and "Tennessee River Run." He has sold nearly 2 million albums and earned five major nominations from the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association.

The performance begins at 9 p.m. and tickets start at $35 plus tax and fees.

Upcoming Fiesta Showroom performances include Tony Orlando, May 1-3; Greg London's Icons, June 8-13; Collin Raye, July 31-Aug. 1; Don McLean, Aug. 28; and Rich Little, Nov. 13-16.

Tickets to all shows are available by calling 298-8510, by visiting the Web site at www.HarrahsLaughlin.com or at the Harrah's Laughlin box office.
