HIKES
Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, an easy 2-mile dog hike will take place through Lost Creek and Willow Springs. Also on Tuesday there will be a 3-mile hike to Keystone Thrust for some scrambling down a dry waterfall. On Thursday, there will be a moderate 2.5-hike up to Calico Tanks. Saturday, there will be an easy night three-mile hike. Bring a flashlight (515-5367).

Las Vegas Valley Bicycle Club: Wednesday, midweek road ride at 8 a.m. Meet behind Starbucks, 10250 W. Charleston Blvd. and Town Center. Ride assembly point in the parking lot behind Town and Country Bank. Ride of 30 to 40-plus miles, depending on the route option chosen. The Desert Riders Club of Nevada: The Las Vegas Desert Riders Club of Nevada, a local chapter of the Honda Rider's Club of America, meets at 9 a.m. the second Saturday of the month at Carter Power Sports, 6725 S. Decatur Blvd. All motorcycles are welcome (795-2000).

Red Rock Canyon: Program on Saturday for 5-10 year olds to learn the history of how Red Rock Canyon was formed. Also on Saturday, there will be a celebration of the Clark County centennial (515-5367).
