Flair for Care showcases fashions, raises money for hospice

Neiman Marcus presented the 10th annual Flair for Care fashion show and luncheon featuring the Roberto Cavalli Fall 2009 Collection on May 21 at Wynn's Lafite Ballroom. All of the event's proceeds benefit Southern Nevada's Nathan Adelson Hospice.

The late-morning event was co-chaired by Susan Molasky, Jane Schorr and Beth Weinberger. Guests, including Susan Sullivan, Daryl Sullivan, Paige Gross, Linda Chambliss, Kathleen Boutin, Judith Harriman, Julie Gleason, Kelly Foley, Valerie Nix, Jody Ghanem, Priscilla Schwartz-Hodges, Peggy Brown, Linda Richardson, Terri Monsour, Elaine Newton, Camille Ruvo, Heather Murren, Gloria Fine, Denice Sartini, Nancy Shepherd, Charlene Carter, Diane Brandise, Patsy Brinton, Sharon Schmitt, Cathy Black, Shirley Biegger, Jenny DesVaux Oakes, Jane Radoff, Ann Keating, Margie Fields, Sandee Tiberti, Paula Browne, Flora Mason, Jeanne Jones, Faith Elkman, Laura Norcia and Vicki Fertitta, socialized during the reception while participating in the silent auction and purchasing opportunity tickets from $20 to $500 apiece to win more prizes.

The 525 guests were seated for lunch at tables covered in apricot pleated silk with centerpieces of goldenrod florals in black pottery baskets. Lovee Arum chose the fare of a duo of chilled soups, chicken salad and raspberry and chocolate Napoleon with yogurt.

Susan Molasky welcomed all and introduced Bill Terry, vice president and general manager of Neiman Marcus Las Vegas. Terry introduced the fashions, and 20 of Cavalli's fall designs floated down the runway.

At the show's conclusion, Irwin Molasky spoke about Nathan Adelson Hospice and its 31 years of caring for ill patients.

Elaine Wynn assisted Susan Molasky in drawing the names of the opportunity winners, including Wendy Hornbuckle, Anna Robin, Pia Exber-Morris, Becky Visconti, Sue Johnson, Ellen Rhineglass, Dena duBoef, Denise Cashman, Nancy Houssels, Marla Letizia, Janie Gale, Sharon Jenkins, Nicole Ruvo, Brenda Love, Lyndy Marnell, Wendy Plaster and Heidi Sarno-Straus.
