Las Vegas woman, 82, dies of injuries suffered in four-car accident

An 82-year-old woman who was involved in a four-car accident earlier in the week died Tuesday, according to the Clark County coroner's office.

The coroner's office identified the deceased woman as Mary Lioce of Las Vegas. She died from multiple injuries at University Medical Center.

The crash occurred at 2:11 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Vegas Drive and Decatur Boulevard, Las Vegas police said.

Lioce was driving a 1992 Toyota Corolla east on Vegas. She entered the left turn lane to go north on Decatur. Police said she failed to yield the right of way to Howard Brown. Brown, 45, of Las Vegas, was driving a 1996 Oldsmobile and was unable to stop before colliding with Lioce's car.

Brown's car then went into the southbound travel lanes of Decatur, hitting two other cars.

Brown suffered minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
