SEND US PHOTOS OF FIDO

So here we are in the dog days of summer, and CBS is hosting its "Greatest American Dog" show to choose the country's foremost fleabag.

Pshaw, you say, because you know full well who the greatest American dog is, and it isn't one of those pampered pooches pawned off on TV viewers. No, that would be your own Pookie, Snuggles, Rambo or Rover, who may not be able to perform a whole range of tricks but is awww, just so cute in photos.

Here's your chance to prove it. We're asking dog-lovin' Review-Journal readers to send us photos of the canine they consider the greatest American dog. We'll choose a selection and publish them in the Living section and online.

Include your name and daytime telephone number and mail them to Dog Photos, c/o Heidi Knapp Rinella, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125-0070, or e-mail them to hrinella@reviewjournal.com, with "Dog Photos" in the subject line. Photos must be received by July 25 and will not be returned.
