SENIORS GROUP

The Nevada Senior Coalition, a nonprofit, nonpartisan group concerned with taxes, crime, legislation, immigration, prescriptions and traffic, will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at Boulder Station, 4111 Boulder Highway. The guest speaker will be Mayor Oscar Goodman. The meeting is open to the public (737-1377).

 

CAR CLUB

The High Rollers Chapter of the Veteran Motor Car Club of America, dedicated to the preservation and restoration of vehicles 25 years old and older, will meet Monday at the Blue Ox Tavern, 5825 W. Sahara Ave. A social hour and dinner will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a meeting at 7 p.m. (438-3853).

 

PINOCHLE CLUB

The nonsmoking Double Deck Pinochle Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays (274-6387 or visit pinochlelasvegas.com).

 

TOASTMASTERS

The Premier Tostmasters Club meets at 6 p.m. Mondays at Gordon Biersch, 750 S. Rampart Blvd. Guests may attend (222-1436).

Toastmasters en Espanol Club meets at 7 p.m. Mondays at Cambridge Community Center, 3900 Cambridge St. (951-9454).

Powerhouse Pros Toastmasters Club meets at 6:15 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Merrill Lynch Training Room in the U.S. Bank Building, 2300 W. Sahara Ave. (258-1922).

The Monday Niters Toastmasters Club meets at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Denny's, 3081 S. Maryland Parkway (807-2176).

 

JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada offers singles programs for adults of all ages. Jewish singles meet for bagels and coffee at noon the first Sunday of the month at Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane,; Jewish singles in their 20s and 30s meet at 6:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Co., 2220 Village Walk Drive in Henderson (794-0090).

WOMEN'S CLUBS

Beta Sigma Phi City Council will have its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Donald W. Reynolds Girl Scout Center, 2941 Harris Ave. (250-5058).

Preceptor Alpha Delta, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. The group is open to any woman who would like to join in friendship and community service (883-9411).

 

CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Helldorado Shootout Charity Golf Tournament will begin at noon Wednesday at Angel Park's Mountain Course, 100 S. Rampart Blvd. A registration banquet will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Elks Lodge, 4100 W. Charleston Blvd. Proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada and the Elk's Youth Scholarship Fund (870-1221).

 

TELECOM PIONEERS

The Desert Sands Life Member Club of the Telecom Pioneers will have its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Italian American Club, 2333 E. Sahara Ave. The event is open to all Bell System retirees. Reservations are required by Monday (645-4236).

 

CANCER SCREENINGS

St. Rose Dominican Hospital offers free breast cancer screenings and services to uninsured and underinsured women ages 40 and younger (616-7525).

Mammovan for Nevada offers free mammograms to low-income women age 40 and older in the Las Vegas area. Appointments are necessary (877-581-6266).
