Two plead not guilty in teen’s slaying

The two teens accused of killing a Palo Verde High School freshman pleaded not guilty in District Court Monday.

Ezekiel Williams, 18, and Gerald Q. Davison, 16, each pleaded not guilty to at least a dozen charges in connection with the Feb. 15 drive-by shooting that left 15-year-old Christopher Privett dead.

Williams and Davison are scheduled to go to trial Oct. 20.

Authorities said Williams was driving a vehicle that Davison and three others were riding in on Feb. 15 near Palo Verde High School. Davison fired from the vehicle into a group of teens, hitting Privett, authorities allege.

During a preliminary hearing, a witness said Davison fired into the group after a teen with Privett jokingly flashed gang signs at a girl in Williams' car.
