Warped Tour comes to Jillian's

The Warped Tour doesn't come to Vegas any more, which means locals miss out on acquainting themselves with how it feels to be a strip of bacon on an asphalt griddle.

Punk rock in the sun, outdoors on the pavement, is as brutal as boot camp; but luckily, Vegas gets a taste of Warped without the attendant heatstroke when bands from the tour hit Jillian's on Monday and Tuesday.

The first day's festivities are topped by snarling L.A. rock 'n' roll knuckle dusters The Bronx, along with melodic metalcore favorites Evergreen Terrace.

The next night, the bill features hard-hitting upstarts Forever The Sickest Kids, The Audition and many others.

Best of all, you can leave the sunblock at home. Both shows start at 6 p.m. at Jillian's, 450 Fremont St. Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 day of show, and two-day passes are $20. Call 759-0450.
