Victim of fatal crash identified

A 70-year-old man killed in a car crash Friday evening was identified as Ramon Green of Las Vegas.

He was a passenger in a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu that was turning left from Martin Luther King Boulevard onto Blankenship Avenue, near Carey Avenue, about 5:30 p.m., Las Vegas police said.

Traffic had stopped as the Malibu turned, but a 2002 Ford Mustang passing on the right struck the Malibu, police said.

Green died at the scene.

The Malibu's driver, Georgia Green, 67, of Las Vegas, and the driver of the Mustang, Andre Laforet, 22, of Las Vegas, suffered minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash was continuing, police said.
