Ball offers seniors a tropical evening

The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services Senior Citizen Programs Division will present its 15th annual Blue Moon Ball from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 28 at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center ballroom, 250 N. Eastern Ave.

Couples and singles age 50 and older can attend the Island Nights Blue Moon Ball to dance to the big band music of Boyd Coulter and the Good Times Band.

The ballroom will be decorated in a Hawaiian style and participants are encouraged to dress in eveningwear appropriate for the islands.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased in advance at any city of Las Vegas senior center or by telephone with a credit card. For tickets and more information, call 229-1515.
