Coroner’s office identifies couple killed in wreck

The Clark County coroner's office has identified the Las Vegas couple killed in a Veterans Day vehicle accident as Bertha and Reuben Rohrick.

Bertha Rohrick, 84, was driving north in a 1993 Ford Taurus on Rainbow Boulevard near Alta Drive with her husband, 82, riding in the passenger seat about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

She tried to turn west onto White Sands Avenue but drove in front of Jason Goody, 26, who was driving south on Rainbow in a 1995 Cadillac Seville, police said. Goody struck the Ford, killing the couple.

Police said Goody didn't appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
